This production is a Rock-Pop musical based on a twisted version of the stories of the classic Disney Princesses.
These Princesses are not damsel’s in distress but have a feminist attitude, apparently – intrigued?
Well, so am I… I love the Disney Princesses but am very happy with Disney’s shift to the more modern Princess, like Elsa, the Snow-Queen, who can happily save herself and not have to rely on a man – much like the modern western woman, who is not constantly obsessed with seeking a husband!
This will be interesting, especially the fact that it’s a multi-disciplinary production combining Song, Dance, Film and Acting, the brainchild of Writer/Director/Choreographer Stuart Saint, assisted by resident Choreographers Lana Avis (my lovely dancer friend from many moons ago) and Gwen Jones, I am excited to see what Disney magic has been spun on it’s head!
The soundtrack is Electro-Pop – you can have a listen to some of these soundtracks here.
