This is amazing news! (Although, I’m too old to take advantage of this deal, and am currently lucky enough to have a paid job) I know many of the readers of this blog are either students or seeking work or ‘resting’ professionals in between jobs.
Going to the theatre regularly can be an expensive business and although the ticket prices at the off-west end and fringe venues are so much more reasonable than West End theatre ticket prices, it can still mean a difference between going or not going, when you calculate travel costs, pre and/or post theatre drinks, and maybe dinner – if you’re going all out 😉
The 2 deals;
- Under 30’s – Tenner Tuesdays – £10 tickets to the under 30’s for selected Tuesday evening performances.
- Unwaged – Hi Five – £5 for Sunday matinee performances
King’s Head Theatre Executive Director Fiona English says:
“The King’s Head Theatre has long
been among the most ethically and socially responsible fringe theatres in the UK. We were the first to introduce a in-house Equity agreement to ensure actors that work with us are paid a fair wage and more recently, introduced a gender policy which pledges that at least half of all creatives we employ to work on our productions will identify as non-male. I am delighted to announce that we are taking steps to increase
the accessibility of our venue to young people and the unwaged with these new ticket prices.”
The Kings Head Theatre is based in Islington area of London – 115 Upper Street, London, N1 1QN.
