If like me, you love the Roald Dahl Book “The Twits”, you may be interested to know that the stage version is currently playing in London at The Vaults.
I remember my teacher reading this story to the class when I was about 10yrs old, I found the Mr & Mrs Twit utterly and equally disgusting and fascinating, I hung onto every last word and re-read the book for myself soon after our teacher had finished it, just to delve into their world a little deeper.
Roald Dahl wrote ‘The Twits’ in 1979 and children today are still loving it, then again, I suppose, most of Roald Dahl books are still loved by most people today…the stage version was written in 2007.
In case you don’t know, The Twits is about a couple, Mr & Mrs Twit, who are totally disgusting, absolutely hate each other, but can’t live without each other who eat a diet of disgusting food, such as Ear Wax, Live Garden Salad (live with worms, slugs etc…) and the famous ‘Dead Bird Pie’ – Oh, they also have a pet monkey.
Here is a little taste of what the stage version looks like …
